A committee meeting is held on the second Monday of each month and any questions, concerns, complaints, suggestions etc, can be given to any member of the committee, where these will be addressed. A suggestion box is also available in the foyer at the pool. As well as Swimmer registration fees, anyone can become a voting member of the club by paying a non-swimming registration fee to the A.S.A.

There is an annual general meeting, normally in February or March, where all parents are welcome to attend. Details will be posted on the club noticeboard in the foyer and on the club web site.

We hold an internal Christmas Gala in December and a Presentation night in January.

Fee Information

Annual Membership: Family £30 or Single £20, payable upon joining the club. This is reviewed annually at the club AGM. Club membership is payable annually with the ASA registration fee.. Monthly subscription swimming fees, payable at the start of each month. The club would like all member to pay their subscriptions by standing order. Please arrange to set up a standing order with your bank. A form for this purpose can be obtained from the club treasurer.

Tadpoles 1 & 2 = £15.00 monthly
Frogs 1 & 2 = £15.00 monthly
Dolphins = £15.00 monthly
Club Lane = £15.00 monthly
Stroke Development 4 = £15.00 monthly
Stroke Development 3 = £20.00 monthly
Stroke Development 2 = £20.00 monthly
Stroke Development 1 = £28.00 monthly
B3 Squad = £38.00 monthly
B 2 Squad = £40.00 monthly
A & B 1 Squads = £42.00 monthly


A.S.A Fees
ASA Registration Fees are collected with the annual membership fee, or upon joining the club. These fees are compulsory, set by the ASA and given in full to the ASA. They are subject to change by the Amateur Swimming Association. The fees are insurance costs to cover your child whilst they are part of this club and the ASA.

Current Fees for 2010 are:
Category 1 Members = £6.75
Category 2 Members = £22.00
Category 3 Member = £4.00

All of the above fees are subject to change The costs are controlled by the ASA per capita fee over which Chester-le-street ASC has no control.

Club Galas
We are a competitive club and all children are expected to swim for Chester-le-Street ASC when they have reached the minimum age of 9 and are of the required standard. We hold an internal Christmas gala in December where all children in the main pool are encouraged to swim. In addition, the club holds two further galas each year (spring and autumn) where swimmers from other clubs come and compete. This takes a great deal of organising and any help given by parents is much appreciated. Gala information is always posted on the club notice-board and club web site.
