National Age Group Championships 2010

As head coach of Chester-le-Street ASC at my first nationals I was both pleased and disappointed. We had a mixed bag of results. Mark was outstanding and the other lads were in the same shape but on the day it just didn't happen. I do feel we all gained some invaluable experience. Mark won 3 national titles at 1500m fs, 800m fs and 400m fs and what can I say was he was brilliant. He also came 7th in 100m fs final and 6th in 200m fs final. The relay lads froze in the 4x100m fs and the 4x200m fs was the same but they pulled one out of the bag in the 4x100m medley under no pressure. Brad did ok but he wanted to swim faster. His best swim by far was his100fly in team in 64.9. Adam swam well in 200m bk in 2.18.48 and 63.8 in medley team. Good swims from James and Matthew also in the medley team meant the week finished on a high.

National Youth Championships 2010

Only the 2 girls at the Youths. Amy swam well in all of her events, 100m fs 100m fly and 50m fs. She was disappointed and was hoping for better but well done. Katy was again just off her best but after a rough year she was happy with her swim.

THANKYOU TO ALL THE PARENTS AND SWIMMERS WHO HAVE SUPPORTED ME AND THE CLUB THIS SEASON. HAVE A GOOD BREAK AND SEE YOU SOON.

Gary Renshaw.
